Astharid 2mg is primarily prescribed for treating bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPDs). 2mg Salbutamol, or Albuterol, is the active component of Astharid, which is a bronchodilator. The pharmacological denotation of Salbutamol is beta-2-adrenergic antagonist. It is a prescription medicine and one should use it under the supervision of a medical advisor.

Bronchial asthma, emphysema and bronchitis are COPDs that are characterized by bronchospasm i.e. constriction of airways or bronchioles in the lungs. Inflammation or irritation of the respiratory tract can lead to such condition. The symptoms of asthma such as cough, wheezing, breathlessness and chest tightness are often triggered by exposure to certain allergens such as pollen, dust, pollutants, etc. They may also occur due to rigorous exercise in asthmatic patients.

Astharid 2mg tablets should be used as instructed by your medical practitioner. The pill should be swallowed with a glass of water for proper assimilation. Do not chew, split to break the pill. Usually, you might have to take this asthma medicine at least three to four times daily. If you miss the dose, take it immediately when you remember, but avoid if the next dose is scheduled and do not take two doses at a time. Ask your doctor whether it is safe to use Astharid 2mg during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
